Eligibility and teams

This is an online student hackathon. Participants must meet the age, student status, and geographic requirements displayed on this page. Enter solo or in a team of up to five people.

Project requirements

AI must play a meaningful role in the submitted project. Existing models, APIs, libraries, and datasets are allowed when used in accordance with their licenses and terms. Clearly credit all sources, disclose AI-generated components, and explain your own work completed during the event. Do not present someone else's project as your own.

Responsible building

Use data you are authorized to use and share. Avoid publishing private information, credentials, or harmful content. Test only systems you own or have permission to access. State relevant model limitations and do not claim performance you have not demonstrated. Treat other participants respectfully.

Judging

  • AI Integration & Technical Execution — 30%
  • Originality & Problem Framing — 25%
  • Usefulness & User Experience — 25%
  • Testing & Communication — 20%

Reviewers score the submitted materials and demonstrated contribution. Ties are compared first on AI integration and technical execution, then originality. Ineligible or unverifiable entries may be excluded.

Recognition

One eligible first-place project receives US $150 total per winning team. Eight additional eligible projects receive runner-up recognition, with no cash attached. No purchase or paid AI service is required to participate.

Ownership and questions

You retain ownership of your project. Only submit materials you have the right to make public. Contact [email protected] with questions or access issues before the deadline.
